Tax Break for Landscaping
The cost of bark mulch or soil installation may qualify for a tax credit. The Federal Budget 2009 contains a Home Renovation Tax Credit (HRTC) and one of the examples shows a tax credit for landscaping. Homeowners will be able to claim a 15-per-cent credit on renovation work worth more than $1,000 and up to a maximum $10,000 for any home improvements, save for routine maintenance, between now and February 1st, 2010.
